The Future

What the future would be like? They say it would be like the past but shorter because history will just repeat itself. The future is the exact opposite reflection of the past. It is the summation of what is happening today. The future is the realization of our dreams and the culmination of our times. It is our “soon-to-be” history.

Whatever the future will be depends on what we do now and what we have done in the past. It is only a matter of how we are going to adapt ourselves to it. For some it might be too disturbing and uncomfortable what lies ahead, as the words of the futurist writer Alvin Toffler in his book “Future Shock” in 1970, “too much change in too short a period of time” . But for others, the future is simply the " simplification of all things" that we have now when everything is right there at the tip of our finger.

The future is what we are heading for; it is our destination and the fulfilment of our cumulative causation. It is where the word "hope" lies.
